Grad Bites: Working in PR
Working in PR (Public Relations) involves managing a client’s reputation and public image and helping to influence consumer behaviour. We spoke to Alex, who is thoroughly enjoying his career, and is now working remotely from the Lake District. He explains what his day-to-day role involves, his favourite parts of the job and the challenges, and he offers some helpful tips for anyone contemplating a career in PR.

Public Relations offers plenty of variety: writing, editing, pitching to journalists, client relations, creating ideas and you’re constantly learning about different topics and industries. Alex suggests you should do your industry research and create a portfolio to demonstrate communication skills such as writing, social media, promoting events etc.
