Grad Bites: Getting into Teaching
We spoke to Emma, a Primary School Teacher, about her career path, her thoughts on what makes a good teacher and her tips for joining the teaching profession. We also find out why she chose this career and why she still loves it so much!
Emma studied Primary Education at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, where she gained her Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) status. She specialises in early years education. After graduating, Emma worked in London for her NQT year, before deciding she wanted to work in international education and she spent the next 5 years in Dubai and Budapest. She has recently moved back to the UK, where she will work freelance in different teaching settings.
