Make Your Money Go Further at Christmas

Christmas can be an expensive time of year… there is no doubt about that!

So how can you make sure you don’t start January crying into your pillow whilst staring at your bank statements?

Try Secret Santa

Avoid spending huge amounts of money on your nearest and dearest by organising a Secret Santa group. You can set a manageable budget that everyone sticks to and then buys something fun and silly, or small and personal. After all it’s the thought that counts!

Host at home

Instead of celebrating the festive season out on the town, why not get your friends to join you at home. If you all bring a bottle of something, you can keep costs down whilst still getting into the spirit of Christmas and having fun with friends.

Get creative

Making your own presents may be a step too far, but you could save money by making your own Christmas cards. You could attempt some full blown arts and crafts, or if you’re nifty with design software… go digital!
